D'angelo Charged With Drunk Driving

R+B star D'angelo has been charged with drunk driving and possession of drugs after being stopped by police in his native Richmond, Virginia.

The singer - real name MICHAEL EUGENE ARCHER - was stopped by cops on Sunday (09JAN05), who discovered "what we believe to be cocaine and marijuana", according to Chesterfield police captain KARL LEONARD.

Two times Grammy winner D'Angelo, 30, is due in court next Tuesday (18JAN05) to face charges of DUI, possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.
