Cut Copy Ditch T-Shirt That Upset Chanel

Australian dance stars CUT COPY have been forced to hand over a batch of T-shirts mimicking Chanel's logo, after the fashion house took legal action against the group.

Designed by singer DAN WHITFORD, the T-shirt was a take on Chanel's famous crossed 'CC' gold logo.

But Cut Copy had to abandon their T-shirt design when Chanel took out a cease and desist order and threatened to sue.

Whitford says, "We fought the law and the law won.

"They totally beamed us to death and we've given our shirts back. We quite quickly stopped when we were advised that they could pretty much take us for all we're worth."
