Culkin Gets A Deferred Sentence For Drug Rap
HOME ALONE star MACAULEY CULKIN has pleaded guilty to misdemeanour charges of possession of medication without a prescription and marijuana.
The former child star appeared in court earlier today (08JUN05) in Oklahoma to answer the charges brought following his arrest last September (04). He was given a deferred sentence and fined $540 (GBP284).
Culkin was arrested after police found marijuana and anti-depressants in a car he was travelling in.
Assistant District Attorney GREG MASHBURN revealed he believed the incident was a rare one for Culkin, and he was pleased to note the actor had already completed all probationary requirements, including passing a drug and alcohol assessment.
Outside court, he said, "This was a rare circumstance for Mr Culkin. He is not an abuser."08/06/2005 21:26
