Cs Lewis Film Rescued From Americanisation

After Walt Disney and Walden Media took over the rights, the bizarre plans were ignored in favour of a traditional adaptation and a British cast, including Ray Winstone, Tilda Swinton and Rupert Everett.
Executive producer PERRY MOORE says, "They thought children wouldn't understand the original so they changed Turkish Delight for hot dogs and hamburgers.
"The most ludicrous statement I heard was that they had Janet Jackson as the White Witch, so I made this very strange vow to rescue this childhood treasure."
