Cruz Unconcerned By Public Image

Penelope Cruz refuses to devote time to creating a good public persona, because she only cares about how her family and friends perceive her.

The 30-year-old Spanish beauty admits she'd be devastated if the important people in her life thought less of her, but she has little interest in convincing the world she's a likeable person.

She says, "I don't know. I can't really worry about other people's perception of me.

"I know that the people who are close to me know who I am and I still have practically the same set of friends that I had when I was a kid. That is what counts in the end."
