Cruise And Cruz Spend The Night Together

LATEST: Actress Penelope Cruz rushed to Berlin as soon as she heard TOM CRUISE was visiting the German capital, because she was desperate to see her ex again.

The pair - who split in January (04) - were reunited when Penelope checked into the FOUR SEASONS HOTEL, where Cruise is staying, after catching a flight from the Moroccan set of her new movie Sahara on Monday (05APR04).

Pals claim the actress was eager to meet up with Cruise - who is scouting locations in Berlin for upcoming sequel MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 3 - because she's struggling to cope in the aftermath of their separation.

A friend tells Britain's The Sun tabloid, "Penelope booked in under a false name but everyone knew who she was. They are still incredibly close and love each other's company.

"She wanted to see Tom and decided she had to see him so she got on a plane pretty much straight away."
