Crash Awarded French Honour

Hit US movie CRASH won the Jury Prize at the Deauville Film Festival in France yesterday (11SEP05).

The French event celebrates American cinema and considered PAUL HAGGIS' directorial debut to be the strongest work to come out of the US over the course of the last year.

The runners-up prize was shared by KEANE and ON THE OUTS, directed by LODGE H KERRIGAN and LORI SILVERBUSH respectively, while TRANSAMERICA, written and directed by DUNCAN TUCKER, scooped the Best Screenplay Prize.
