Country Stars Urges Pet Owners To Keep Their Pets Warm

Country singers EMMYLOU HARRIS, DOLLY PARTON and LORETTA LYNN are joining forces to urge US pet owners to keep their dogs warm this winter.

The music stars will speak at a Nashville, Tennessee press conference today (20JAN06) in conjunction with animal rights charity People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

The new campaign appeals to dog owners not to leave their pooches chained up outside during the bitter winter weather.
