Connolly Quits America For Native Scotland
Comedian and actor Billy Connolly has sold his Los Angeles mansion to move back to his native Scotland.
Glasgow-born Connolly is planning a permanent move to a remote village he frequented while shooting the 1997 film, which also starred DAME Judi Dench.
Connolly bought the sprawling 15-bedroom country house in 1998 and, as they've owned the property for seven years, his actress wife Pamela Stephenson can't wait to move in.
She says, "It's so beautiful. Our American mates can't get enough of it."
But the couple have vowed to make regular return trips to the US to visit their daughters.
Stephenson adds, "It's difficult. Two of our children are basically American but they love it here."
