Clooney's Rude Encounter With Aunt Rosemary's Pals
GEORGE CLOONEY was shocked when he worked as a driver for his late aunt ROSEMARY CLOONEY - because the singer and her pals were so crude and bawdy.
The OCEAN'S ELEVEN star thought he had agreed to chauffeur respectable ladies from show to show, but he encountered some of the rudest moments of his life.
He recalls, "It was such an exciting thing to do as a 20-year-old, because I was also driving all the singers on these shows - MARGARET WHITING, HELEN O'CONNELL, KAY BALLARD, KAY STARR. It was a great experience for me.
"MARTHA RAYE is one of the foulest, funniest woman you've ever met in your life. She'd say, 'Pull over,' and I'd pull over to the side of the road and she'd stick her leg out and go to the bathroom.
"My Aunt Rosemary would say, 'Don't turn around, George, you'll learn too much about the aging process.'"
