Church Snubs High Street Giants
British teenage singing sensation CHARLOTTE CHURCH has snubbed the chance to become the new face of a British high street fashion chain - because they didn't offer her enough money.
MARKS + SPENCER wanted the Welsh soprano to help them relaunch their ailing label PER UNA.
A company source says, "She appeals to younger and older women and bosses thought she'd be a hit."
But the 18-year-has dismissed their offer: "Marks + Spencer offered me a deal that was cack."
She added to a pal, "It would be alright if it was a decent shop, but M+S is somewhere your mum shops."15/06/2004 21:21
