Chili Peppers Concert Sparks Trouble For The Bbc
A recent RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS concert has sparked a licensing row, leaving BBC music show TOP OF THE POPS in legal trouble. The BBC ignored the fact they don't have a licence to stage open-air gigs and let the Red Hot Chili Peppers promote their new single DANI CALIFORNIA in a west London outside concert venue. Viewers complained and local council Hammersmith and Fulham are now threatening action against the BBC. A BBC spokesman says, "Performances in Top Of The Pops are considered to be a private event, not a public event. But if another licence is needed, we will apply for it."
