Chemical Brothers Honour 'Boxer' Burgess
Dance impresarios THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS have named their collaboration with CHARLATANS frontman TIM BURGESS, THE BOXER in honour of the singer's violent streak.
TOM ROWLANDS and ED SIMONS gave the track an aggressive title when the volatile rocker arrived at their studio boasting a hand injury.
They explain, "He'd been hitting doors and people and walls and he had a huge swollen hand that smelt of Germolene. So the track became The Boxer.
"He's a lovely lad, he's really nice. It's good having a friend who's so talented so you can have fun in the studio but then the thing that you come out with at the end of it is brilliant as well."12/07/2005 01:35
