Charles Probed Over Diana Death

British royal Prince Charles has been questioned by police regarding the 1997 car accident which killed his late wife DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES.

Former Metropolitan Police commissioner LORD STEVENS visited his London residence Clarence House last week (ends09DEC05) to speak to the prince about a letter alleging he had plotted the murder of Diana.

Charles, who finally married his long-term lover CAMILLA, Duchess of Cornwall this year (08APR05), was reportedly accused by Diana of planning to kill her in a car crash.

The princess wrote, "My husband is planning an accident in my car, brake failure and serious head injury, to make the path clear for him to marry."
