Chapman Tapes To Air On Tv
Recordings of JOHN LENNON's killer describing the late BEATLE's horrific 8 December 1980 assassination are to be aired on television in Britain and America.
The tapes, recorded in the early 1990s by a journalist writing a biography of MARK DAVID CHAPMAN and his crime, trace the killer's "compulsion" to murder Lennon.
On the recordings, Chapman admits, "Nothing could have stopped me. It was like a train, a runaway train."
The chilling tapes will be broadcast to coincide with the 25th anniversary of Lennon's death next month (DEC05) on British network Channel 4 and US broadcaster NBC.
