Cate Rules Out Journalism
Australian star Cate Blanchett is glad she found her calling as an actress - because she could never be a journalist.
The LORD OF THE RINGS star plays the slain Irish investigative reporter Veronica Guerin in the movie of the same name, but doesn't think she ever could have taken on the probing role for real.
She says, "I could never, ever, in a million years, be a journalist.
"I've got this vague Victorian sense that to ask probing questions is slightly impolite. I mean, the thought of door-stepping someone...
"It's a really important part of journalism to follow a story and I'm not talking about stalking Britney Spears in Macy's."
