Castle-Hughes To Drop Movies For Teaching
Actress Keisha Castle-Hughes plans to ditch acting to become a teacher, despite becoming the youngest Best Actress nominee in Oscars history yesterday (27JAN04).
The 13-year-old New Zealander, a devout Morman, impressed ACADEMY AWARD voters with her performance in Whale Rider, but still wants to follow her dream and become a teacher.
She says, "The movie world is too unreal. The people seem on another planet.
"When I was a little girl I always wanted to be a film star. I loved doing Whale Rider but my ambition is to be a teacher."
