Cash-Strapped Brody Asks Leno For A Loan

Movie star ADRIEN BRODY ran out of cash and car fuel after winning his Best Actor OSCAR in March (03), so he was forced to borrow money from chat show host pal JAY LENO.

THE PIANIST star was booked to appear on Leno's THE TONIGHT SHOW in America just after his big night and had to ask the fellow motor enthusiast for $20 (GBP12) so he could get home.

He recalls, "Jay was showing off his beautiful cars and I'm like, 'Listen Jay, my cars on empty, can I borrow $20 from you?'"

But Brody was good for the loan - he paid Leno back weeks later when he spotted the chat show host filming a segment for his TV show on Los Angeles' Melrose Avenue.
