Capote Voted Top Movie Of 2005

TRUMAN CAPOTE biopic CAPOTE has been voted the Best Film of 2005 by America's National Society Of Film Critics.

Actor PHILIP SEYMOUR HOFFMAN, who plays the legendary writer, was also named Best Actor by the industry experts.

REESE WITHERSPOON won Best Actress for her role as JOHNNY CASH's wife JUNE CARTER CASH in WALK THE LINE.

DAVID CRONENBERG was voted Best Director for A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE, which also saw ED HARRIS win Best Supporting Actor.

AMY ADAMS was honoured as Best Supporting Actress for her role in JUNEBUG, while the Best Foreign Language Film award went to FATIH AKIN's HEAD-ON.

Surprisingly, GOLDEN GLOBE nominated BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN failed to win any nods from the illustrious panel, despite it being lauded by the New York, Los Angeles and Boston Critics' Circles.
