Burrell: I'm Not Attending Diana Memorial
LATEST: DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES' former butler PAUL BURRELL has vowed to stay away from the tragic British royal's memorial unveiling next month (JUL04) - because he doesn't want to steal the attention from her sons.
Burrell - who was blasted by PRINCE WILLIAM and PRINCE HARRY after he published his controversial memoirs A ROYAL DUTY last year (03) - was due to attend the ceremony in London's Hyde Park to watch the uncovering of a new fountain in dedication to the tragic princess.
However, the controversial servant is determined not to allow the event be overshadowed by his presence - so he's pulled out.
He says, "It is becoming uncomfortably clear that the day could focus on how William and Harry react to me.
"So after much soul-searching and with a heavy heart I have reluctantly decided to withdraw in their interests."02/06/2004 09:22
