Bloom Unimpressed With Hummers

THE LORD OF THE RINGS star Orlando Bloom was horrified when his vehicle arrived ahead of Sunday's (28AUG05) MTV Video Music Awards - because it wasn't environmentally friendly enough.

While a throng of celebrities favoured travelling in gas-guzzling Hummers, the British heart-throb was far from impressed when he arrived in Miami, Florida, to see the imposing vehicle awaiting him.

He says, "They picked me up at the airport in a Hummer, and I was like, 'Oh no, I can't take that.' We tried to get a Prius, but couldn't."
