Blackadder Movie On The Way?

A big screen version of Blackadder is on the verge of being filmed, 17 years after the last episode of the cult British TV comedy aired.
Star Rowan Atkinson is keen on shooting a Blackadder movie, which screenwriter Ben Elton wants to set during the Russian Revolution.
Stephen Fry, who played LORD MELCHETT in the hit show, says, "I chatted to Rowan at the weekend. He's bean doing a BEAN movie in France and confided that he missed the joys of Blackadder rehearsals and all that.
"Ben wants to do a Blackadder movie set in the Russian Revolution with a Russian branch of the family. He has some brilliant ideas. Maybe it will happen.
"(But) there's a lot of feeling that we left it on such a high note that it would be a bad idea to go back.
"There's nothing worse that an overweight boxer past his prime lumbering into the ring past his sell-by date."
