Bjork: Why I Left London
Icelandic pop sensation Bjork quit her London home after a fan sent her a letter bomb and then committed suicide.
Although the bomb was intercepted by police, the event - in 1996 - proved the final straw for the 37-year-old singer, and she had no choice but to retreat from the limelight.
She says, "I got pulled into the whole whirlwind. They want you to become like a soap opera where there's like a drama per minute, and it sort of snowballs.
"But I can't write if I feel everybody's watching me. So I had to pick - do I want to write songs, or do I not? And for me that's a very easy choice."
