Berlin Welcomes Cruise
Hollywood hunk Tom Cruise is thrilled after German authorities reconsidered their ban on him filming part of blockbuster sequel MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 3 at Berlin's historic REICHSTAG parliament building.
The MINORITY REPORT star has been given permission to shoot some scenes outside the prestigious parliament structure during recess, although the interior of the building - including its 40 metre (130 foot) glass and steel dome - remains off-limits.
Parliament PRESIDENT WOLFGANG THIERSE initially said, "The building is not available as a film location and we refuse point blank every request to use it as such."
The action movie - released in 2005 - begins shooting this summer in Berlin, Los Angeles, Toronto and the Belgian city of Antwerp.
British actor Kenneth Branagh, Lost In Translation beauty SCARLETT JOHANSSON and MATRIX stunner Carrie-Anne Moss also star in the film, which is directed by Joe Carnahan.
