Ben And Matt Play Can't Find A Big Enough Home
An off-Broadway play about Matt Damon and Ben Affleck's lives is to be staged in their native Boston, Massachusetts - if producers can find a theatre to accommodate it.
MATT + BEN, which gives a fictionalised account of the pre-Hollywood days of the movie hunks, was a huge success during its New York run. And now producers are hoping the planned three performance schedule in Boston can be extended - if they find the right theatre.
Producer VICTORIA LANG says, "We're in negotiations with a local producer but the biggest issue in Boston is the availability of a theatre. It's worse than New York."
Initially the play - which features two women in the central roles - will play at Winthrop House at Harvard.
Neither Damon or Affleck have seen the production which explores their friendship in spoof terms.
