Beckhams Turn Madrid Home Into Fortress
Soccer superstar DAVID BECKHAM and his wife VICTORIA BECKHAM have turned their rented home in Madrid into a fortress, by installing thousands of dollars worth of high-tech security devices.
The Beckhams are determined to keep out intruders and have spent the money on surveillance cameras, alarms and electric shock systems.
The mansion - which is 19 kilometres (12 miles) north of the Spanish capital - is also in a no-fly zone, because of its proximity to a property owned by Spanish KING JUAN CARLOS.
A source says, "That should keep away prying eyes in the sky.
"The estate has its own security but David has gone even further. It's as secure as you can get."30/11/2003 13:58
