Beckham's Pop Dreams Quashed

England soccer ace David Beckham's dreams of pop superstardom were quashed during the sport's last World Cup in 2002, after the country's Football Association (FA) refused to support the single. The Real Madrid player hoped to rap on New Order's re-working of their 1990 World Cup theme track WORLD IN MOTION to support his team during the championships in Japan and South Korea, but FA bosses choose ANT + DEC's WE'RE ON THE BALL instead. New Order frontman PETE HOOK says, "We were going to re-release World In Motion for 2002 and even approached David Beckham to re-record the JOHN BARNES rap. "And he agreed. So did his management. In fact, everything was in place, but then the FA banned it because they had already signed Ant + Dec."

Aww...well I guess that's just to bad for Becks. But I mean...a BRIT?...RAPPING? I mean, I just always thought colored people were very good at that. Even though Eminem and Sarai aren't bad at all. But he's like a soccer star...and he's like a gentlemen and I can't immagine him actually rapping. I like listening to rap, but I'm white, and I can't rap for my life. (Not that I've tried, but I bet I can't do it.) Well, who knows, maybe David B. does know a thing or too about rap. We might as well start calling him "D-dogg"!
