Beckham Wants Role For Posh In Pink Panther

Soccer superstar David Beckham has told movie bosses he will only make his acting debut in the upcoming prequel to The Pink Panther if his wife VICTORIA is given a part too.

The Real Madrid ace is making a cameo appearance as a soccer player in the Mgm project, and is determined to secure former SPICE GIRL Victoria a role.

An insider tells British tabloid the DAILY STAR, "David has said he'd prefer to appear in the film with Posh rather than on his own.

"I think Victoria is more interested in acting than he is and this is one way she might get noticed by agents."

Funnyman Steve Martin has already signed up to play INSPECTOR CLOUSEAU in the movie, alongside Beyonce Knowles, Kevin Kline and Jean Reno.
