Beatles Remembered In America
Exhibitions have been launched in New York and Los Angeles to mark the 40th anniversary of THE BEATLES' debut appearance on American television.
The MUSEUMS OF TELEVISION AND RADIO in both cities will host REVOLUTION: THE BEATLES ON TELEVISION, which will cover the period from 9 February 1964 to 30 April 2004.
TV clips from the PLEASE, PLEASE ME band's heyday, as well as from after they split in 1970, and a documentary film called WHAT'S HAPPENING! THE BEATLES IN THE USA will be screened.
The Beatles debuted in America on THE ED SULLIVAN SHOW on 9 February 1964 when they were watched by a record 73 million viewers.08/08/2003 17:18
