Be Cool Director Defends Derogatory Terms

Movie maker F GARY GRAY has defended his use of derogatory name-calling in GET SHORTY sequel BE COOL - by stating every ethnic group and minority comes under fire in the comedy.

THE ITALIAN JOB director has been criticised for his use of the words 'f**got' and 'n**ger' in the new JOHN TRAVOLTA film, but he insists he set out to make "an equal-opportunity comedy" that mocks all races and creeds.

The black film-maker says, "No one goes untouched: black, white, Italians, Jews."
