Bbc Slams Blackadder Comeback Reports

LATEST: British broadcasters BBC has slammed reports they are resurrecting classic TV comedy BLACKADDER.

Former Blackadder star TONY ROBINSON, who played unwashed servant BALDRICK, told ITV1 magazine show THIS MORNING earlier this week (begs07FEB05), Blackadder's leading man ROWAN ATKINSON was "more keen than he has been in the past" to create another series.

The last Blackadder series was set in World War I and ended in 1989.

A BBC spokeswoman says, "For our part, we're not aware of any plans to bring it back. Never say never, but there's nothing on our books."
