Batman Begins Stays Away From Cgi

Movie-maker CHRISTOPHER NOLAN steered away from computer-generated imagery (CGI) for his latest film BATMAN BEGINS, to concentrate on reality-driven sequences.

Nolan insisted on transporting his stars CHRISTIAN BALE, LIAM NEESON and GARY OLDMAN to dramatic locations across the globe, instead of creating digital backdrops.

He tells Britain's EMPIRE magazine, "For a film of this size, we probably have the record for the fewest CG shots.

"People said we should do a digital batmobile. We said, 'F**k that, we'll build it for real.'

"The car is pretty amazing. You've just gotta step yourself in and watch it for yourself."
