Barry White Voted Top Easy-Listening Star

Late soul legend BARRY WHITE has been voted the "most seriously easy-listening music maker" of all time.

Barry - who passed away following a long illness last month (JUL03) - beat competition from FRANK SINATRA and MARVIN GAYE.

And his hit YOU'RE THE FIRST, MY LAST, MY EVERYTHING was voted third most "seriously easy-listening track".

Other singers who made the top ten were LIONEL RITCHIE, ELTON JOHN, DIONNE WARWICK, RONAN KEATING, NORA JONES, ENYA and OTIS READING.

The survey was conducted by the company behind alcoholic spirit MALIBU.
