Barbra Streisand Takes On Mrs Focker Role
Barbra Streisand has finally confirmed she will play Ben Stiller's mother in the anticipated sequel to Meet The Parents, following months of speculation.
The OSCAR-winning FUNNY GIRL star, 61, heading back to movie screens for the first time in eight years for Meet The Fockers, is currently tying up film contracts with bosses.
The movie is set to go into production on 5 April (04), with Jay Roach returning as director. The film is slated for release on 22 December (04).
All the principal castmembers from Meet the Parents - Stiller, ROBERT DE NIRO, Blythe Danner and TERI POLO - are returning for the sequel, along with Dustin Hoffman, who has been cast as Stiller's father.
Streisand's last movie performance was in the 1996 film THE MIRROR HAS TWO Faces, which she produced, directed and starred in opposite Jeff Bridges.
