Bai Ling - Bai Ling Attends Star Wars Premiere Despite Cut Scenes

LATEST: Chinese actress BAI LING agreed to attend the Los Angeles premiere of STAR WARS: EPISODE 3 - REVENGE OF THE SITH, even though she has been cut from the finished film.

The RED CORNER star, who played a senator in the final Star Wars movie, was waiting to hear if her scenes were to remain in the movie after reports director GEORGE LUCAS had left her on the cutting room floor, together with his own daughter, who starred alongside Ling.

Lucas confirmed the actress had been cut, but invited her to the premiere, and she gallantly agreed, admitting on the red carpet on Thursday night (12MAY05) that she was disappointed her family and friends wouldn't be able to see her in the film.

She said, "I know the director has artistic license, but it has been hard for me emotionally. My family and friends were expecting to see me."
