Badly Drawn Boy Marries Fans

British singer-songwriter Badly Drawn Boy has married two of his biggest fans live on stage to the astonishment of the rest of the audience.

Fans SAM and MARK sent the SILENT SIGH star, real name DAMON GOUGH, a speculative email asking him whether he would marry them and were lost for words when the 34-year-old interrupted his set at Manchester, England's Bridgewater Hall to perform the ritual, whilst his band played the happy couple's favourite song - THE SHINING.

Sam says, "What an amazing night. It started with an email. I didn't think he would get to read it, never mind perform the ceremony! Mark and me are still as much in love as then - no rows on the way home!"

A spokesperson for the MERCURY MUSIC PRIZE-winner adds, "Damon gets asked to do a lot of crazy things via email. But when he saw Sam and Mark's request and was satisfied they were a genuine loving couple, he jumped at the chance."
