Avril Lavigne Hates Awards Ceremonies

Pop punk AVRIL LAVIGNE hates star-studded awards ceremonies, because most celebrities are arrogant and unapproachable.

The SK8ER BOI star prides herself on remaining down-to-earth, despite her chart success - so she can't understand why some stars are so vain and aloof.

Lavigne says, "I feel weird when I go to an awards show. There are so many divas and people with possess. I feel like everyone's so untouchable. And I don't really feel comfortable being in those situations.

"Some bands are really cool and they'll want to hang out, but some people are just concerned with what they look like and who they're with. They get all caught up in the whole thing, it's kind of funny.
