Aviator's Reilly In Awe Of Scorsese
Actor John C Reilly had so much respect for Martin Scorsese on the set of Gangs of New York, he insisted on addressing him by his full name.
The OSCAR-nominated star, 39, preferred to call the director MR SCORSESE, even though the film-maker said he would like to be known as Marty.
Reilly says, "It did drive him mad, I think, but to me he was like the top man and I didn't feel me calling him Marty was showing the respect I felt I owed him."
However, by the time the two reunited on The Aviator, Reilly relaxed his greeting.
He adds, "Well, actually, by the end, yes, I did."
