Authors Join Forces To Bring Ancient Myths Back To Life

Booker Prize-winning author As Byatt and peers Jeanette Winterson and Margaret Atwood are among a group of writers revisiting ancient myths to bring them up to date in a series of new books.

Full details of ambitious cross-publishing house project The Myths, which was announced at the Frankfurt Book Fair in Germany on Friday (21OCT05), are sketchy but it is known that Whitbread Prize winner Winterson will modernise the tales of strongmen Hercules and ATLAS.
