Aunt Winona Can.t Hide Her Excitement At Baby Joy

Winona Ryder made an emotional return to public life at the weekend
(19APR03) after completing 480 hours of community service - and celebrated
becoming an aunt.

The actress, who became a convicted shoplifter last year (02), was told
her brother had become a father just before she took to the stage at a gala for
San Francisco's MACAULEY PROGRAMME.

Appearing excited and shaken, Ryder told the audience, "I just found out
an hour ago that my brother had a baby and I'm so excited. His name's MARSHALL,
so I feel a little thrilled."

The event, held to raise funds for mental health services in California,
was also attended by actress Tatum O'neal.
