Atomic Kitten Attempt To Improve Us Sales
British pop trio Atomic Kitten attempted to counteract their embarrassing
American chart debut - by flying into New York to woo fans at a breakfast TV
appearance.
Last month (APR03), singers LIZ McLARNON, Natasha Hamilton and Jenny Frost
released their eponymous album to glowing reviews from US critics - but it sold
just 14 copies in its first week on store shelves.
And although they were only required to sing, the trio jumped around and
waved frantically in the background as hosts CHARLES GIBSON, Diane Sawyer, news
anchor Robin Roberts and weatherman TONY PERKINS attempted to close the
show.

Sawyer joked, "No, exhibitionism there - none at all," as the ladies
screamed, "Morning America! Happy Mother's Day!"
America celebrates its Mother's Day today (11MAY03).
