Anastacia Desperate For Duets With Sting And Aerosmith

Open-minded pop star ANASTACIA wants to diversify her career by duetting with music idols STING and AEROSMITH.

The I'M OUTTA LOVE singer confesses a collaboration with the artists would be a dream come true, and is confident the finished works would be true rock 'n' roll.

She says, "(Aerosmith singer) STEVE TYLER's voice is just ridiculous. He's a wonderful performer and I'd like to hear our two voices together.

"I'm sure we'd smash a few windows.

"Also, I love the way Sting writes, so I'd love to write a song with him and then sing it."

Anastacia has already sung with classical tenor PAVAROTTI, SIR ELTON JOHN and JAMIROQUAI frontman JAY KAY.

Anastacia's emotional new album 4152976 News

Anastacia sings about the pain of divorce in her new album.

The 'Left Outside Alone' hitmaker filed for divorced from Wayne Newton 2010 and she used the emotions she felt during that tough period in her life to help shape tracks on her forthcoming record 'Resurrection'.

She said: ''I had done a lot of healing on that score prior to writing the album. But there are definitely things in there that attest to the strength, mourning and the pain of divorce - the ebbs and flows. I had such a plethora of unwritten emotions in my heart that once i opened the floodgates it all came pouring out.

''The songs do paint a picture of resurrection - someone who is stripped. I know I've stripped myself of a lot to try and find what's inside.''

Anastacia - who was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003 and last year she revealed she had a double mastectomy after the disease returned - also wrote her new album in the wake of her second cancer diagnosis, and two of the songs explore her determination to beat the disease.

She added in an interview with Britain's HELLO! magazine: ''['Stay'] is pretty much a song that says I'm not ready to go just yet - not ready to die. As I was writing it, I knew it was intense. Then I came home and played it for my sister and she cried.

''But at the same time its got this playful energy - it's almost kind of childlike in the music.''

Anastacia loves 'bionic' breasts 4151313 News

Anastacia loves her ''bionic boobies''.

The 'I'm Outta Love' hitmaker underwent a double mastectomy last year after discovering she had breast cancer for a second time and she insists she ''couldn't care less'' about losing her natural breasts.

She said: ''I call them my bionic boobies. They're fabulous. I was a triple D, now I'm a C-cup, so I'm perfectly happy.

''I can finally wear little spaghetti straps. Personally, I couldn't care less about losing my natural boobs. I wanted to be done with breast cancer.''

The 45-year-old singer was insistent about having the operation, even though doctors said she didn't need to, as she didn't want to find herself battling the disease again in the future.

She told the Daily Mail newspaper: ''This last time, it was such a small piece of cancer I could have had a biopsy and some treatment and called it a day, but I've been there. And that didn't change anything. It just came back.

''I thought, 'I don't want to go through this again. If I do, is there going to be a third time or a fourth? Will that be the killer?' I said to the doctor, 'I know this seems drastic to you because you'd like to keep my natural boobs, but I want to live. I don't want to play Russian roulette with my breasts and my life.' ''

Anastacia insists she was ''prepared'' for the procedure as she had done her research several years before when she had another cancer scare.

She explained: ''I was surprisingly prepared for it. Because about two years after the first diagnosis, I had an abnormal reading, so had to have a biopsy. I freaked out and researched a double mastectomy.

''The biopsy was benign and the recovery time from the operation was about a year, so I opted not to elect to do something, but it planted the seed, 'If it comes back, this is what I will do'.

''I had many years to sit with that.''

Anastacia Suffered Depression After Breast Cancer Surgery 4144501 News

Pop star Anastacia was struck down with depression following her double mastectomy.

The I'm Outta Love singer underwent the drastic procedure last year (13) after learning she had been diagnosed with breast cancer for a second time.

Anastacia now admits she suffered nasty side effects from the pain medication she was given in the aftermath of the operation, including depression.

She tells Britain's Hello! magazine, "(I suffered depression) but only because of the painkillers. I didn't want to take them (the painkillers) - I'm not someone who likes to do drugs of any kind - but I had to and they weigh heavy on you after a while.

"It was the kind of pain that can drive you crazy, you know. I hadn't been prepared for that."

Anastacia Announces New Album 'Resurrection' Out In The Uk May 5th 2014 4114846 Press Releases

The 'Resurrection' of Anastacia is complete, and arrives on May 5th, driven by first single 'Stupid Little Things', a stirring pop anthem for today. Reunited with producers Sam and Louis, 'Stupid Little Things' ranks amongst her best work ever.

'Resurrection' is Anastacia's first album of original songs since 'Heavy Rotation' in 2008 and her sixth studio LP to date. During her career she has sold over 30 million records worldwide.

Recorded in LA, 'Resurrection' features 10 tracks on the standard and 14 songs on the deluxe version.

Anastacia burst onto the world stage with the release of her debut album 'Not That Kind' in 2000 driven by the smash hit 'I'm Outta Love', the best selling song of that year. Hit albums followed, 'Freak of Nature', 'Pieces Of A Dream' and 'Anastacia' all propelled by her incredible, totally one of a kind voice. She was known and loved round the world for her powerful and unique voice.

She also attracted much notoriety for a catalogue of poor health related issues - all well documented - including first Crohns disease and later breast cancer. Just last year she announced that the disease had returned resulting in a subsequent double mastectomy.

"Writing songs helps pull you past the dark moments," Anastacia admits. "Just being able to speak my story is a great help. 'Stupid Little Things' is about trying not to over think everything to make it much bigger than it is. For me it's about: don't focus on the small stuff!"

For 'Resurrection' she has totally focussed on making the kind of music she is famous for. Now fit and healthy, she has embraced the recording of this new album with her trademark passion and enthusiasm. And the results are staggering. It's great to have her back.

Anastacia Postpones Tour After Second Breast Cancer Diagnosis 3532555 News

Anastacia has been struck down with breast cancer again, ten years after recovering from her first bout of the illness.

The 'Left Outside Alone' singer has been forced to cancel her upcoming European Spring tour and refund all tickets following the devastating news and has issued an apology on her official Facebook page. Amazingly, she seems more concerned with her fans' enjoyment than her own poor health and mentioned in the statement, 'I feel so awful to be letting down all my amazing fans who were looking forward to 'It's A Man's World Tour'. It just breaks my heart to disappoint them.' While it's difficult to imagine any of her fans getting upset about the tour over her latest health scare, she insists that rather than taking time out, she will continue to work on her new album and will arrange some new dates as soon as possible.

The star first discovered she had cancer when she went for a mammogram following a decision to get a breast reduction. After completing radiotherapy and making a full recovery, she set up her own cancer charity, The Anastacia Fund. But this brave star has had other health complications in her life including Crohn's Disease and a heart condition called supraventricular tachycardia. In spite of all this though, she remains an inspiration to people young and old with her undefeatable attitude to life.
