Almodovar + Amenabar Lead European Film Awards Nominations

Pedro Almodovar's Bad Education, Alejandro Amenabar's The Sea Inside and FAITH AKIN's HEAD ON are the films leading the way for the upcoming EUROPEAN FILM AWARDS with five nominations apiece.

The trio are up for the major categories of Best Director and Best Film.

Meanwhile, Penelope Cruz and Imelda Staunton will battle it out for the Best Actress prize and Javier Bardem and Bruno Ganz are up for the Best Actor honour.

The main nominees for the awards, which are announced on 11 December in Barcelona, Spain, are:
