Starsky And Hutch - Ali G Star's Fall-Out With Director

STARSKY AND HUTCH director TODD PHILLIPS has left the set of BORAT after falling out with the mock-documentary's star SACHA BARON COHEN.

ALI G funnyman Cohen and Phillips disagreed over the creative direction the movie project - based on Kazakhstani character Borat - was taking, writes trade publication VARIETY.

Filming has ground to a halt while Cohen and studio bosses search for a replacement director.

Last week (ends14JAN05), Cohen caused outrage at a rodeo event in Virginia when his Borat alter-ego jokingly told spectators US President GEORGE W BUSH should drink the blood of Iraqi civilians he kills.
