Affleck To Star As Magnum Pi?

I think Ben Affleck is a very good actor, and the movie may do well.However recently Miami Vice was made into a film, and it was a good movie,but it could've had another title and different character names and stood on it's own without tarnishing a classic.Don Johnson will always be Crockett, no contest.I feel the same way, and even stronger about the new Magnum PI...{private investigator}:)Tom Selleck put his all in the developement of the lovable Magnum Character, and no one will ever be Magnum but Tom Selleck.I read what he said about not being in the movie and his reasons and I applaud him,agree with him and respect him more than ever.I would be proud to shake his hand and thank him for his valiant stand.There are just some things that stand the test of time and should be respected and kept intact, Magnum PI is one of them.You don't stand up to sing the National Anthem and trash it, you don't sing Amazing Grace and take away from it's beauty by dasplaying your voice's ability...when that becomes acceptable listen for these famous words of one of our great heros as it echos through time..."That'll be the day" Thank you Tom Selleck for standing without apology for what is right
