Aerosmith Feeling Blue

AEROSMITH stars Steven Tyler and Joe Perry are swapping their famous rock sound for a blues album.

The CRAZY hitmakers have been working on HONKIN' ON BOBO for several months, but aren't sure if any of the tracks will be single material.

Perry explains, "I don't know if there's a top 40 radio hit in there. I'd like to see something with a hard bluesy vibe get played, but I don't know if there's anything like that on the charts right now. What we're doing definitely isn't hip-hop."

The musicians don't believe they will ever regenerate the height of their fame in the 1980s, but they are putting the same energy into recording the songs as they ever did.

Perry says, "I don't think we could ever sound like that again, but we can definitely take the attitude we had when we recorded those songs. On this record we worked to keep things more immediate and not really think about what's on the charts."
