50 Cent Booed Offstage In Australia

Rapper 50 CENT has run into trouble on his first ever Australian tour - he was booed by fans last Friday night (05DEC03) in Melbourne after losing his voice.

The IN DA CLUB hitmaker arrived onstage at the MELBOURNE PARK STADIUM after support act Obie Trice wowed the crowd with an energetic set, but struggled to hold his faltering voice.

After leaving the stage twice to try and regain his vocals, 50 returned and was heavily assisted by his backing group G-Unit as he struggled to complete the show - and while some fans were understanding, others chanted, "Bull****, bull****," at him.

And 50's run of bad luck continued when he performed in Sydney the following night (06DEC03) where he was accused of miming by the disgruntled audience and slammed for plugging his range of clothes alongside his music - and was booed off.

Although I personally didn't agree with the crowd chanting "bull***" (I was there) I can understand where they were coming from. When you pay over $100 to see someone who doesn't come down everyday, you expect to get your money's worth. Not for someone to lose their voice 2 songs into the set and then disappear off stage for 15 mins at a time. Wouldn't you be pissed if you heard NOTHING of 50 cent and EVERYTHING of Buck and Banks when they're not their songs to begin with? If you weren't there to experience it, you can't be one to talk. Yea he was a soldier and soldiered on and I give him props for doing that but you can't be mad at the crowd when they were the ones losing in the end. Whatever's whatever, and he made up with it with the 2006 tour (It was off the chain!) Bygones are bygones and G Unit tore the roof off the place! Great job Fiddy...hope to see you and the rest of the Guerilla Unit back down in Melbourne again soon.
