OSCAR-winning actress CATHERINE ZETA-JONES is starting to feel the pressure of opening a movie for the first time, as her romantic comedy INTOLERABLE CRUELTY nears its debut.
The CHICAGO beauty stars alongside GEORGE CLOONEY in the critically-acclaimed film, but her name has been billed above even the movie's title, indicating bosses are counting on her star power to draw the masses to theatres when it opens on Friday (10OCT03).
And Zeta-Jones admits she's taken on quite a burden.
She says, "It really is a quite weight on anyone shoulders. (Especially), I think, if you have a fanbase and people are wanting to see you up there or are interested in seeing you in movies.
"We all promote our movies and we do as much as possible, and that is really a big part of our job to come out and speak about our movies. It's really, really important.
"A lot of actors say they don't get paid to act, they actually get paid to promote and talk about it! But it's important. I love my job and I'm so lucky to have this job, that I go out there and do my best to promote it."
