STEVE ZAHN - ZAHN OBSERVES TREATMENT OF HORSE POOP

SAVING SILVERMAN star STEVE ZAHN has developed a fascination with horse excrement since setting up home with his family in Kentucky.

The actor recently relocated to the midwestern US state with his wife ROBYN and their two children, and since purchasing three horses - SPIRIT, RED AND DUDE - he's become observant of the process that takes place to dispose of the animals' waste.

He says, "It's about moving poop, it really is. I mean, you pick up their poop and then you move it and you put it in a big pile and then in the spring you take that and you put it into a machine that spreads it.

"Then you take that and then you bring it back out to the field and you put it back out in the field where it first came from. That's rather psychotic, isn't it? You don't get rid of it. It isn't like you pick it up and dispose of it. You just move it around. So I'm in the spreading process right now."
