American rocker PETER YARROW is set to be reunited with his long-lost guitar after three years, after a fan spotted it for sale on EBAY.COM
The PETER, PAUL AND MARY singer lost his handmade LARRIVEE acoustic guitar on a flight from Washington DC to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in December 2000.
After the band's fans recognised the instrument up for sale on eBay, they notified the PUFF, THE MAGIC DRAGON star and contacted the FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION (FBI) to bring in law enforcement.
FBI spokeswoman JUDY ORIJUELA said agents discovered the guitar in Miami suburb Sunny Isles Beach on Monday (31JAN05).
Yarrow, 66, enthuses, "It's an old friend you know, and I'm eagerly awaiting its arrival. It was a real loss at the time, but ultimately I accepted it, and now I have the joy of its return and I'm more than pleasantly surprised. I'm overjoyed."
